Here are some booklet panes. This is part of the Tribes of Israel Issue of 1955-56. The booklet includes an advertisement for Israel Airlines. The 50-agarot stamp features a set of scales to represent the tribe of Dan, who according to the Book of Genesis, "shall judge his people." The other stamp is the 100-agarot value representing the tribe of Asher, whose "bread shall be fat." |
