| This stamp shows what the Israeli collector calls a short tab. This stamp was issued August 10, 1949, to honor the city of Petah Tikva. The perforations at the right of the tab show that there was more selvage area beyond those perforations. This short tab is worth about $25 less than an example with the full tab. You'll see full tabs a bit later. This and the next few slides will serve as a quick lesson on tabs. |
